Brody and Bristol are giving back in a HUGE way! Check out how many soda tabs they've collected in just a couple of weeks. They have turned this into a family affair with family helping to collect tabs from other communities. All tabs are donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Our fabulous first grade teacher, Mrs. Summers, has organized these donations for many years! Join us in giving back!

The DES Kindness Club had some special high school visitors from the Random Acts of Kindness class today! Students shared how they show respect and kindness to others. ♥️

A message for Denning Elementary School and the District: a little after 10 a.m., an individual from the neighborhood was having a mental health episode and began banging on the exterior doors of Denning School. The building immediately went on lockdown and 911 was called. Officers arrived and apprehended the individual. There was no weapon involved. All faculty, staff, and students acted appropriately and orderly just like they practice in drills. All is back to normal now. We will now talk with all of our students and reassure them and go back to our normal day as we celebrate the 100th day of school today. We thank everyone for their assistance during these few stressful moments.

We have a lot going on tonight.
