West Side Kindergarten Reading Room celebration! These students did an amazing job this year. We had so many student grow in letter, sound and word recognition, diagnostic performance and most importantly in their confidence. Some certificates today included passing 20, 40 and 60 i-Ready lessons, meeting typical growth, meeting stretch growth, highest i-Ready score, largest i-Ready growth, Most Improved Reader and Rockstar Reader. WAY TO GO Kindergarteners! Keep it up! ~Mrs. Nolen
Next week is Superbird Week at Denning! Each day has a different theme and special activity.
On Wednesday, if your child would like to have a juice and popcorn while watching their movie, please send $1.00. Thank you!
Students will need to bring $1.00 for the popcorn and juice if they wish to have a snack.

2nd grade Reading Room Celebration #2. We had our annual ice cream party for our reading awards. These students CLEANED UP on awards. Students were recognized for "Lesson Completion," "Typical Diagnostic Growth"," "Stretch Diagnostic Growth," Scoring "On Grade Level," Highest Diagnostic Score, Largest Word Reading Fluency increase, Largest Oral Reading Fluency increase, Highest Words Reading Fluency, Highest Oral Reading Fluency, Most Improved Reader and Reading Rockstar (MVP).
I cannot say enough about this group of 2nd graders. Ms. Pat and I (Mrs. Nolen) are so incredibly proud of each of you!

We have grown so much this year, we are celebrating MULTIPLE days! Today's celebration included Happy Meals for the reading room students who showed the most growth on the spring i-Ready diagnostic test. These students not only all improved by MORE THAN 85 points this year, they ALL scored in 2nd grade! 4 of these students went from Grade K in the fall to Grade 2!!!! WOW!
