DES Wing Leaders "help" monitor our lunch lines and celebrate and recognize other students with positive behavior!

Give it up for Denning's February MVP staff member, Pam Braddy! Pam goes above and beyond to support students and staff. She always has a smile on her face and her positive attitude is contagious.

Here are our boys and girls HS track schedules.

Here are our baseball and softball schedules. Please remember that during spring, sports games will be cancelled and rescheduled often. Please watch our social media to make sure we will be having games during weather events. The softball schedule has a game at Murphysboro on May 10th at 4:30 that did not print on the page.

Ladies and gentlemen: The WFPD has notified us that the suspect they were looking for is now in custody. We will come off our soft lock down now and resume normal operations. Thanks to the WFPD, the WFFD, and multiple state agencies for their assistance. We hope to be able to enjoy the rest of the day. MD

Ladies and gentlemen: After a police report of a suspicious person in the neighborhood south of FCHS who had made threatening comments to a resident, we are going to a soft Lock down status. Students will be able to go class to class but we are bringing students indoors. We will have more information when it is available. MD

***Substitute Chaperone Position*** Denning Elementary is looking for substitute chaperones from 11:00-2:30 to assist with lunch and recess supervision. Another basketball season has come and gone. We were lucky enough to host boys and girls regionals. I want to thank all of the volunteers that make everything run so smoothly. John Butler, Jon and Allison Adkins, and Paul Lawrence on the girls games. For the boys side I want to thank Roger Wilburn, Rick Conner, Matt Donkin, and Jim Johnson. These guys have been doing this for a long time. Thank you all for you dedication and work for our student athletes! I also want to thank Michelle Loeh for taking care of our attendance workers during the season as well.

Join us in celebrating our January MVP staff member at DES, Erika Nicholson! She goes above and beyond for students and staff, her smile and positivity are contagious, and she works hard to make DES a better place to learn and grow. ♥️

Senior Night tonight! Seniors for basketball, cheerleading, band, choir, and scholar bowl will be recognized! We play Vienna! We will play freshman halves tonight starting at 5:15 Any student who wears Red will get into the game free! Also any student this year, who earned their SuperFan shirt will be able to run out with the varsity team tonight. So wear those SuperFan shirts tonight! 2/13
