DES will host Kindergarten Open House Friday, August 16 from 1:00-2:00. Please enter the building at your East or West dismissal door. This is a great time to meet and greet your child's teacher, visit the classroom, take pictures, drop off supllies, and ask questions. First Day at Denning-We can't wait to welcome students to DES in the morning! Please put a label on your child with your student's name, teacher, and dismissal plan. Pack supplies that will fit in your child's backpack throughout the week. If you are walking students up to the front door, please park alongside the school or gravel parking lots. If you are a Kindergarten parent, make sure you meet your teacher at their dismissal doors on the East and West sides. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Don't forget to connect with your child's teacher via the Thrillshare app on Rooms. Doors open at 7:30 and we dismiss at 12:20 . See you soon, friends!

FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN (August 13 8:00-12:20)-Kindergarten teachers will be located outside their dismissal doors to meet and greet new kindergarten students on the first day of school. Parents will NOT be entering the building or classrooms. Staff will be ready inside to help your child get to the cafeteria until it is time to go to class at 8:00 and will ensure they know where to go. Please only send school supplies that will fit in your child's backpack each day during the first week of school. MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD IS WEARING SOME KIND OF NAME TAG WITH HIS OR HER NAME, TEACHER'S NAME, AND HOW YOUR CHILD IS GOING HOME ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. SEND A NOTE WITH HOW YOUR CHILD WILL GO HOME EACH DAY DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL. Please check the Denning website for more information and your teacher's contact information. See you Tuesday!

Due to renovation work at DES, we are moving our Kindergarten Open House from Monday, August 12 to Friday, August 16 from 1:00-2:00 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and your families. We were hopeful that we could meet you and your new kinder before school started, but we appreciate your understanding, support, and flexibility. We are excited to welcome you to a new and improved Denning this year!

Please plan on attending in-person registration on August 6 at FIS between 8-4 if you are enrolling a new student, a Kindergartener (if you didn't register in the Spring), or need assistance registering a student. If you are able, please bring your kinder with you to be screened. Please login to your TeacherEase account (https://www.teacherease.com) on or after August 6 to find out who your child's teacher will be for the 2024-2025 school year.
