Here at Denning we love our staff! Two staff members will be selected every other week for meet the staff. This week Mrs. Lauryn Brown and Mrs. Melanie Hamilton both were nominated. They both received a shoutout on the morning announcements, a Texas Roundhouse certificate and recognition on our Denning School Page. We will post Mrs. Hamilton's information soon. Nice job ladies!

September is NICU awareness month! The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is something that many (myself included) have utilized during the birth of our babies. The Ronald Mcdonald House Charities are a home away from home for many families who are trying to stay close to their babies while they're in the NICU. You might have rounded up in the McDonald's drive- through, but have never really heard from someone who has stayed in one during a difficult time. The Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay, hot meals, washers, dryers, showers, snacks, and more to hundreds of families every year. Our closest one is in St. Louis and I'd love to have our community partner with RMHC of St. Louis.
Here's what you can do: click this link and donate items that will be shipped directly to the RMHC in St. Louis (put DES in the notes section and we will see how many donations our community provides), turn in soda tabs to your child's teacher, or round up the next time you hit the McDonald's drive-through.
