Reminder for Early Dismissal

Second grader, Emmy Foder, brought a birthday card to Owen Jones today. The kindness club at DES celebrates every student birthday with card and pencil. We LOVE to celebrate birthdays!🎉🎂

The first full week of school and we have TWO Bird Brags. Valley and Teddy both counted to 100. What a big accomplishment for both of them. Way to go!!📣📣 Here at Denning we love to celebrate!
In the Nicholson room today, we learned how to be GOOD WINNERS AND GOOD LOSERS and not to be soar winners and soar losers today! We read the book “The Legend of Rock-Paper-Scissors” and then had a rock-paper-scissors tournament! All of the students participated. After each round, we had to shake hands and say “Good Game” with their opponent. I was very happy to see no one blow up and get super mad! Some were disappointed when they lost but they showed good sportsmanship!!
Our classroom rock-paper-scissors champion was Emmett!! We celebrated him as the winner!

Reminder
From FCUSD 168: Busses have just departed FIS/CJHS at 1:18 p.m. to go to FCHS. They should be delivering students shortly as we work through the first day issues. This should smooth out over the next few days. Thanks for your patience in the downpour this morning. It seems that our students had a good day.
